TEAM GEORGIA
TEAM GEORGIA consists of the Top 20 graduating seniors and juniors in the State of
Georgia as selected by high school coaches throughout the state. I have enclosed a
list of information needed if your selected to play for TEAM GEORGIA in the SUNBELT
CLASSIC BASEBALL SERIES.
1. A Medical and Travel liability agreement form and a form releasing
coaches from any liability in the event your son
drives a car while in
Oklahoma. All forms should be signed by a least
one parent or guardian
and brought with you when you report for the team.
2. A Player Information Sheet outlining important information needed to
make your TEAM GEORGIA experience enjoyable.
3. A Consent for Treatment for any emergency medical treatment in case
of illness or injury while participating in Sunbelt
Baseball Series play and related activities.
Your sponsorship fee of $500.00 should be paid by May
25th for Juniors and June 7th

PLAYER INFORMATION SHEET
The following information is very important. Use as a guide for the following:
Reporting Date and Location (Directions enclosed):
Juniors: Wednesday, June 9th, 12:00 pm at Brookwood High School
Seniors: Sunday, June 20th, 12:00 pm at South Gwinnett High School
Equipment to bring with you:
Gloves, Shorts, T-Shirts for practice (High School logo preferred), Sweat Socks, White
Sanitaries, Bat (if you prefer your own and please mark it), Catchers Equipment (if you
prefer your own, it should be navy or red).
You will be issued game uniforms and equipment on the day you report. All issued uniforms will be checked in immediately following the last game Team Georgia participates in. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR EQUIPMENT. You will be financially responsible for lost uniform items.
Lodging:
Players will be staying with host families in McAlester and Norman. We
have had the same families for several years in McAlester and they do a fantastic job of being your
home away from home. Host families will be responsible for meals and transportation
to and from games. As a guest of that family we are depending on you to
be courteous, decent, and obedient to their house rules. Miscellaneous
expenses should be determined by your spending habits.
Senior Coaches will be staying at the T.B.A.. If you have an emergency, you can contact the coaches at T.B.A..
Junior Coaches will be staying at the Ramada Inn in McAlester. If you have an emergency, you can contact the coaches at 1 (918) 423-7766.
Team Photo:
Each player will be given an 8 X 10 team photo. Individual pictures may be purchased
for $5.00 (5 X 7) or $7.00 (8 X 10).
From the time you report, we will be functioning as a TEAM and will be on a very tight time line. Please have someone bring you to the meeting site. We cannot accept responsibility for security of vehicles left at the meeting site, while we are in Oklahoma.
All players will refrain from swearing, umpire baiting, arguing with coaches or players or exhibiting any unsportsmanship conduct in games or in practice. Much of the week will be spent on public display in playing or traveling. You are expected to conduct yourself in a professional and mature manner at all times.
We will be traveling as a representative of the State of Georgia. Please wear appropriate dress while traveling and attending official functions. Slacks or jeans may be worn with a collar shirt. Socks are to be worn. Cutoffs, shorts. tank tops, etc. are not appropriate for travel.
It is important that all pitchers inform their summer league coaches of our request that you not pitch in a game after June 5th for Juniors and June 16th for Seniors. Pitchers will be throwing an inning on the day we report and must be rested and prepared for the tournament proper on the starting date. Ten games is six days for the juniors and eight games in five days will test our whole staff - your arms must be available.

We are very appreciative of the Georgia Dugout Club and their support of TEAM GEORGIA. The sponsorship fee has in years past been $500.00, however, the Georgia Dugout Club is giving $100.00 per player for players participating in the Festival. Because of this sponsorship each player who participated in the Festival sponsorship fee is $400.00. Juniors will have a sponsorship fee of $500.00. We are also very appreciative of Lee Sports, Reebok Sports, Hickok's Team Sports, Braves 400 Club, Georgia Amateur Baseball Congress, Speedline, Diamond Baseball, Worth Sports, Proline Caps, Rawlings Sporting Goods, Hughston Clinic, Mizuno, Sportsbelle, Wilson Athletic, Schutt Athletic, and Mountain National Bank. Please support these fine people whenever you can.
We, as the Board of Directors of TEAM GEORGIA, sincerely feel that is a great honor to be selected as an All Star player representing the State of Georgia. This year's Senior team will represent our state in what has been called by Collegiate Baseball as "The most outstanding interstate baseball series in America". This year's Junior team will be the first to represent the State of Georgia. Play your best and represent Georgia as the first class individuals and players that you are. Remember that you are the guest of the fine people of McAlester and Norman.
